Laverne is a sweet, gentle soul with a shy streak — but don’t let that fool you. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into one of the most affectionate kitties you’ll ever meet. Her favorite thing in the world? Wrapping her little paws around our volunteer’s husband for the softest, sweetest hugs. She truly loves with her whole heart.

Laverne has spent most of her life with her companion, Little Man, but the two don’t need to be adopted together. She would do beautifully with another friendly, calm cat — or even as your one-and-only, as long as she has someone patient and kind to help her settle in.
